I had the same thing and according to the dealer, it was the amp that got soaked in water (I've water leaks nice the times of Noah's arc) and had to be replaced... City Caddy, NYC was the dealer which also fixed the water leak (0 leaks for about 3 months, and we had a LOT of rain and a hurricane to test it

You'll have to tKe it to the dealer to be sure, like yours, mine lost all sound everything worked radio, sensors, signals but none will produce sound since the Acadia uses the radio and speakers for this "dings and dongs". I don't trust dealers but I didn't had a choice. Hopefully you have a trust worthy one and it might turn out to be a fuse. I wouldn't be surprised.

Most likely a fuse. I can tell you one thing dealers can be scary but do what I did stare them down and tell them like it is and they will quiver back into there shell. Do you have a warranty?

Sounds like the Factory amp to me too.. You can find them on Ebay some times. It's the same amp for the Enclave,Traverse as well so look there also.

Maybe go to a wreckers and see if you can find another radio and see if it works in yours. But sounds like a water problem...

Not necessarily a water problem for the amp to go bad.

Agreed; the amps in the early models are hit and miss and not necessarily attributed to a water leak although I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a water leak on an 07

Wow, sounds like the dealer needs to learn to use a multimeter.

Glad you got it fixed, and for free!

I bought the 2007 ACADIA brand new and noticed right away the sound from mu entertainment system would sometimes not work.  But the problem wasn't happening all the time so I lived with it.  When my car got 105,000 miles on it, the sound went out for good.  Found out from the dealer that the amplifier needed replacing and it would cost $800.  Never heard of a car where the amp goes out.  I really feel this is a factory defect and wonder how many others experience this problem.

You can pick one up off Ebay pretty cheap. They are not that hard to replace.

This isn't a wide spread problem, but some owner's have had the amp replaced.  I would check E bay as BoSox has suggested
