TPMS

I got this 2012 Acadia SLT last summer and as soon as the cold weather arrived my right rear tire showed no reading... just -- -- . I figured I would deal with it in the spring. Just had her in for an oil change yesterday and mentioned it to the service guy. He checked it with his scanner and told me I need a new sensor. Price out the door after taxes and installation would be just under $100.00. Is this excessive or are there aftermarket ones that will work with the original system?

Re: TPMS

That sounds about right. List price on the part is about $80.00 U.S. They can be found for just under $40. Labor to install and program is about 0.4 hrs. Looks like you probably got a break on the part.

Thanks Man. I just figured they would be a little lower priced than that.

Re: TPMS

If you have a discount tire near you, they do them for $60.

I'm in Nova Scotia. No discount tire. I will call around though and compare prices. Thanks.

Re: TPMS

Here is my change....
my sensors were not giving me an issue.

TPMS sensors.....I bought 4 'new car' take offs on ebay for $53. (original style)

I had them months on advance- for when I replaced my tires.
When it came time to replace tires- Shop changed out my sensors for $5 per tire.

So-- You may want to search online/ in store for sensors.
And then have the changed out when you have your tires replaced.
Or drive in to a mom and pop shop and see what they charge.

I have seen new a new replacement part # out for the OEM units.
The new ones are very cheap. I believe about $18 each.

2010 FWD LT1-Gold Mist Metallic- seats 8.
Build Date- July 31, 2009-2nd day of Spring Hill 2010 production.
2013 Equinox 3.6L - 60,000
2010 Traverse 3.6L- 128,000
2003 Trailblazer 4.2L-180,000

Re: TPMS

I've been checking availability online and it seems everyone has a different part number. Even accessed a GMPARTSONLINE website. It listed several that said it will fit my vehicle... all different part numbers... Getting confusing.

Re: TPMS

So, this is very reasonably priced. Location is Hong Kong... Any comments on whether this will actually fit my '12?
