Acadia accessories

The rearview mirrors on the doors aren't very user friendly. From where I need them stationed at while driving, I can't see the road when I'm backing up, without having to lower the adjustment on the mirrors all the way.

I tried finding some of those little "fish eye" mirrors to stick on the outside rearview mirrors, but everything I found was too big or not the right shape to fit correctly (the rearview mirrors are a weird shape).

I've searched online for these little stick on "fish eye" mirrors, but don't seem to find any made for Acadia rearview mirrors (so they fit right).

Does anybody know where I can get these little mirrors? Do they have a specific name? Does anyone make these mirrors just for Acadia rearview mirrors?

Thanks!

Re: Acadia accessories

yeap- the Traverse side mirrors.
The earlier model years had the 'trapezoid' shaped mirrors on the edge.
Then they went to circular mirrors near the edge.

I dont recall if someone on here was able to swap out the mirrors or if it was just easier to get used (paint matching) mirrors from a Traverse and swap them into the Acadia.

But I do Admit, they are nice....

Re: Acadia accessories

Hello again!

Ok, what about a panoramic clip on mirror for the internal rear view mirror?

All the ones I find so far say they aren't compatible with 2012 Acadia's.

Anybody have one that fits? What brand is it?

Also, what is the best plastic polish for the head and tail lights?

Thanks

No one's going to do your shopping. You're on your own with that. As for product opinions, you should know what they say about opinions. Find a specific product and read any consumer reviews associated with it.

Can't help with the mirror, if I could I would but I have no experience with those. As for headlights, a friend has an old Ford with faded headlights, I used toothpaste to get a lot of the fading off, it is slightly abrasive and does the job reasonably well. Rub it in with a SLIGHTLY damp cloth and wash it off. Other then that there's many options available, visit your local auto parts store and see what they have. Good Luck!

Yeah, everybody has an opinion.......which is why I posted my questions in a forum.

I get my information from different sources, then I do my due diligence on the info, then I make a decision.

It's called "research".
