2013 Acadia Denali running boards

Does anyone know if the 2013 Acadia Denali can have running boards installed? Dealer says no, but when I picked mine up last week it doesn't look any lower or different than my 2009 Traverse LTZ I traded in. Wife and kids need the running boards. Thanks!

@Cyguy, I can see on GM Accessories Zone site that there are assist steps; http://gmaccessorieszone.com/GMC/en-...ssist%20Steps/

The only thing is, I donít see any small print that this is for a 2012 only or anything of that nature.

Try talking to another dealership to compare information.

At least for 2012, I know you can't due to the extra moldings on the bottom of the vehicle. I would expect the design would carry over to 2013 as well, therefore the response from the dealer.

In my opinion, and it's just that, it looks like the GM "6 oval tube steps that I had on my Traverse would fit easily. The mouldings don't seem to go too low. Other than the assist step issue, I have no gripes with the 2013 Denali. Rides much smoother than my Traverse, has great tech features, and looks great. Gas mileage on a long trip wasn't to bad with the AWD - 21. Oh yeah, don't like how the dual sunroof sunscreen is now manually operated instead of power operated. Loved hitting a switch and letting the kids "see" or block the sun.

From the looks of the '13, it seems that the Denali doesn't have specific trim, they just paint it. So, it would stand to reason that any running boards would fit all trims. It also doesn't look much different than the '12 and older or the Outlook, so maybe the old ones would fit too.

Re: 2013 Acadia Denali running boards

I hope someone comes up with running boards for the 2013 Denali ... I almost ordered the SLT2 just so I could get the running boards but I like the features of the Denali too much to pass up.. I guess it will be a stepping stool for now to get my skis on/off the top...

Attached is a document with three pages (photos) showing my 2013 Acadia Denali with Owens running boards. Also attached is a document from Owens showing parts and installation instructions. I had a local shop purchase the boards, send them out for painting and then do the installation. I also had 3M clear film applied to the rocker panels and running boards before the treads were mounted.

I cannot open them from the web site either - I'll reattach them as .jpg images and see if that helps.
