A new way to mess with the car's electronics!

I don't understand the hype with in-car WiFi. Do people not know that they can use their phone as a WiFi hotspot? And why would someone want to pay a carrier for another data plan when you already have one on your phone?

I wouldn't pay for an in-car wifi service either, however not all phone carriers allow mobile hot spots on their data plans. About half the carriers in Canada have that feature locked-out of the phones.

I get the biggest kick out of people saying, "Oh great! I just can't live without it." Seems to me that it will give hackers more of a free pass into somewhere they don't belong.
